I really enjoyed this conclusion to this epic adventure however I’m left with unanswered questions！ Are Gansey and Blue still “cursed” or was that over after the whole Cabeswater event？！？！ 🤔🤔 Idk overall I still really love this series though！

I think， besides "Dream Thieves" the final book of Maggie Stiefvater's magical series that the "Raven Cycle" is， is my favourite of them all。 "The Raven King" truly brings all the themes of the novel to light。。。 What do Ronan's nightmares represent？ Are they simply monsters he pulls out of his dreams？ I don't think so - they are skeletons he keeps in his closet; the trauma he stores away from losing so much and feeling left to his own devices。 What is Gansey's quest about？ Is it really finding G I think， besides "Dream Thieves" the final book of Maggie Stiefvater's magical series that the "Raven Cycle" is， is my favourite of them all。 "The Raven King" truly brings all the themes of the novel to light。。。 What do Ronan's nightmares represent？ Are they simply monsters he pulls out of his dreams？ I don't think so - they are skeletons he keeps in his closet; the trauma he stores away from losing so much and feeling left to his own devices。 What is Gansey's quest about？ Is it really finding Glendower， living up to whatever grace Gansey believed the King had graced him with， in saving his life？ I think it was about Gansey proving himself beyond his wealth and status。 Beyond what people saw him as on the surface （he really did defy so many stereotypes）。 Similarly， Blue's quest to "prove" her originality and individualism， aside from living in her family's shadow， in their home and even at school， where she was not "Blue Sargent" but the "Psychic's daughter"。 And Adam。 Shaking hands with the devil。 In every way possible。 "The Raven King" does what many final books fail to do: it provides not "closure" but a period， to a chapter in these characters' lives。 It does not feel like the end but （and forgive this cliche） it does feel like a beginning。 For its honesty， magic， and personality， "The Raven Cycle" will always be my favourite series。 Its characters， my family from another life。 "He was a book， and he was holding his final pages， and he wanted to get to the end to find out how it went， and he didn't want it to be over。" 。。。more

I've finished the entire Raven cycle series in like a week， so my mind is one big， mangled mush of thoughts so this review will just be random lines lmao- this was hands down the best book in the entire series- the ending was so beautiful and wrapped up the story quite well， while still leaving room for possible spin-offs （which I will NOT be reading because these books sucked the life out of me）- this is the book that finally made me like Gansey- ADAM & RONAN！！！！！！- I loved loved loved the "dep I've finished the entire Raven cycle series in like a week， so my mind is one big， mangled mush of thoughts so this review will just be random lines lmao- this was hands down the best book in the entire series- the ending was so beautiful and wrapped up the story quite well， while still leaving room for possible spin-offs （which I will NOT be reading because these books sucked the life out of me）- this is the book that finally made me like Gansey- ADAM & RONAN！！！！！！- I loved loved loved the "depending where you began the story， it was about 。。。" bits， just *chefs kiss*- hoping the best for Maura & Mr。 Gray :（- love Henry and wished he'd been introduced sooner- Noah， my baby :（（（- I hated that the author made Adam go back to his abusers and ask for a relationship with them。 I'm sure the author was trying to depict some sort of closure or maturity in Adam， but I really wished she hadn’t done that。 Moving on does not necessarily mean forgiveness and nowhere in the story has either of his parents shown any sign of regret or sympathy towards him， so this honesty just really upset me and kind of ruined the nostalgic feeling of reading the final few pages in the series。Reading this series was a journey and despite my many complains it still feels bittersweet to say goodbye to Adam， Blue， Ronan & Gansey。 I am exhausted though and I think I'll be staying away from the supernatural YA genre for a while and stick to fluffy， lighter stand alone books！ 。。。more
